November is the month of Giving and Gratitude!

Giving
This year we will be collecting Urgent Needs items for DuPage Pads. Pads provides interim and permanent housing and support services to end homelessness. Collection bin is located in the school foyer.

Gratitude
We will continue our Kindness Calendar tradition that encourages Arbor View students to do one random act of kindness per day.

Kindness Essay Contest
This year we are asking Arbor View students to write a short essay on Kindness. Students can write about a personal experience or a book they read about the importance of being kind. The essay should (1) explain what kindness is, (2) why it is important to be kind, and (3) give an example of how to be kind. All Essays are due by November 30th and can be turned into homeroom teachers. There will be a winner from K-2nd grades and a winner from 3rd-5th grades.

Halloween Harvest Thanks & More PTC Events to Come!

Thank you to all the students and families who attended this past Saturday's Halloween Harvest. It was a beautiful day with lots of fun and laughter! Many thanks to all of the other amazing parents and the Glenbard South Key Club members, and Glen Crest Builder's Club members that helped make the event a success!

PTC is already working on the next fun, family activities, such as Winter Fest and a Valentine's Dance. These events only happen with the help of amazing volunteers. If you have not already signed up this year to help plan an event, help at an event the day-of, or donate items, please consider! These events create lifelong memories for our kids!
