Donations for Food Pantry Still Being Accepted Through November 30

On Friday, November 18, many Arbor View families came together to embrace the season of giving by attending the Stone Soup Supper to collect donations for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. Families got to watch a skit performed by the Arbor View Inside Out Club, listen to one of our Arbor View students read a version of the Stone Soup story, learn more about the GE Food Pantry from food pantry board member, Kathryn Meagher, pack up personal-care item donations, and of course, enjoy a warm bowl of Stone Soup!

So far, Arbor View families have donated over 1,500 items to the food pantry. Help us reach our goal and earn a school-wide Pajama Day by donating 3,000 items through the end of November.

Arbor View NEEDS YOU!!!!

We need YOU! Please consider signing up to help at least one of our school's fabulous events. In order to begin the school year successfully, there are several positions we NEED to fill now, as some of the meetings and planning would need to begin as soon as possible!

At the start of school we have only had 10 people sign-up to volunteer. In order to continue these unique traditions we will need LOTS more HELP!!! As schedules begin to solidify more, we are hoping to have many more individuals sign-up to volunteer. Oftentimes, many of these parent-organized events are events that students look back upon fondly when they are high school students and beyond! Let’s make sure that we give our children an amazing 2022-2023 school year that they will remember for years to come!

We THANK YOU for being an important part of Arbor View!

Please email your PTC presidents, Kim Carbonneau (kimcarbs17@gmail.com) or Stephanie Furlong (furlongcrew@gmail.com), with any questions or for more information.

Upcoming 2022 Roadrunner Fun Run (volunteers and sponsors needed!)

Hello Roadrunner Families,

On April 22nd, we will be hosting the 2022 Roadrunner Fun Run! We will be hosting this event in partnership with Boosterthon. Students and staff will participate as every individual student will be empowered to help raise funds for their school, character build, win prizes, run on the BIG RACE DAY, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

The goal of this event is to help fundraise for a new A/V system at Arbor View. This will help with future school events in the gymnasium and improve the experience for our children, staff, parents, and more for years to come. We are setting the goal of raising $15,000 and we need your help!

To start, we are currently seeking corporate sponsors to help with our initial SPIRIT WEAR costs. Every Arbor View student will receive a special RoadRunner Fun Run t-shirt that will have our sponsors listed on the back. This is a great opportunity for local businesses and families to support their community while their community supports back. Please see attached sponsorship form. SPIRIT WEAR SPONSORSHIPS ARE DUE MONDAY, MARCH 21ST!

We are also seeking volunteers to help with preparation and the day of the event. Being that we are partnering with Boosterthon, the lift should be lighter, but help is always appreciated! You can sign up here:

Community Involvement and Volunteer Brochure

One key factor in the success of our school is the fantastic amount of parent and family involvement throughout the year. PTC has prepared and published a Community Involvement and Volunteer Opportunities Brochure. In this brochure, you will find a brief overview of many of the ways you can get involved, from small one-time tasks to long-term committee positions which aligns with the information on the Volunteer page of this website.  Most of the activities and positions listed require multiple volunteers to ensure success, and we never turn down a helping hand!

Our school community loves family participation, so please consider the opportunities listed here and let us know if you are willing to offer some of your time or skills! Please see the Volunteer tab for more information.
